Clearwater Test Strips - Quick Start Guide:

1. Carefully remove one test strip from the container making sure none of the others get wet
2. Dip the test strip into the water for a couple of seconds, then remove it
3. Hold the test strip level for 15 seconds and do not shake it
4. Place the test strip against the colour scale on the container to compare levels

The pool & hot tub test strips highlight, chlorine & bromine levels, the water's pH and Total Alkalinity levels. There are three separate sections on each strip to indicate each individual level.

Hot Tubs:

Chlorine levels of a hot tub should be 3‑5 ppm (Parts Per Million), Bromine levels should be 6-10 ppm, pH levels should be 7.2 ‑ 7.6 and Total Alkalinity levels should measure 80 ‑ 120 ppm.

Pools:

Chlorine levels of a pool should be 1-3 ppm (Parts Per Million), Bromine levels should be 2-6 ppm, pH levels should be 7.2 ‑ 7.6 and Total Alkalinity levels should measure 80 ‑ 120 ppm.
